Project Description

​

Mairo Primary School is located in the remote village of Magwi, South Sudan Africa featuring 8 classrooms, 8 teacher’s houses, 6 bathrooms, a school kitchen and garden, and administration building.  The school has been designed as a place the children will want to attend as they strive to enhance their social and economic well-being through the education they are able to receive.  By integrating play aspects into the project from the loft spaces, playground area, garden and play pumps, the children of the local villages will be more enticed to attend and remain in school.  The sustainable features implemented into the design will help maintain the school while giving the students access to water and electricity changing the quality of education in South Sudan.

• Research into culturally and environmentally important elements that need to be implemented into the project.

• Research into the local and regional building codes if any are applicable and the building materials available within budget and accessible to the site.

• Project fundraising material, budget and construction schedules.

• Coordination with international clients and team members across three countries.

• Project deliverables from yield analysis to constructions documents.
