Project Description

The Indigo Hotel is a six-story curvilinear structure facing US-101 stepping down to a three-story linear structure where it faces single-family residences.  The modern aesthetic is complementary to the expanding biotech industry in the City of San Carlos with several green elements incorporated such the solar area sunshade on the six-story structure and vertical green walls at the courtyard.  The hotel includes a lobby restaurant and bar, meeting room and conference center with outdoor spaces and a large courtyard for informal gatherings, outdoor dining and casual recreation.  The conceptual design for the hotel was originally done by C.Y. Lee & Partners out of Shanghai.

• Review of conceptual design with the City of San Carlos Zoning codes, California Building codes, California Green Building codes and Indigo brand standards.

• Exterior façade development and material selection to compliment design style and surrounding context.

• Site coordination with landscape architect and civil engineer for storm water design, fire access and green building elements
